The Upgrade Chair is device Sebastian uses to enhance his abilities and improve his weapons. All upgrades are paid for with green gel.
The Evil Within 2[]
The chair makes an appearance again, requiring Green Gel again, only this time it is to get upgrades only for Sebastian himself, such as his health, athleticism, stealth, and combat capabilities. Also, a new currency called Red Gel is needed to access other tiers of upgrades.
Appearance[]
The chair is made primarily out of metal and has metallic restraints that automatically lock Sebastian into place once he is seated in the chair. The chair also has a metallic apparatus that fits over Sebastian’s head and appears to subject him to an electric shock whenever he purchases an upgrade, seemingly delivered via cerebral probes that automatically insert themselves into Sebastian's head each time he sits down in the chair, causing him to flinch but apparently causing no visible wounds or actual damage.
