The First, Not The Last is a secret achievement in The Evil Within.

Overview

This is a story related achievement and is unlocked in Chapter 10: The Craftsman's Tools by defeating the Amalgam Alpha.

Tips

Shooting the Amalgam Alpha's eye with a Flash Bolt is very effective. Follow this up by shooting at its gaping maw when it is overturned.

Trivia

The name of the achievement foreshadows that this won't be the last encounter with the Amalgam Alpha.
The image for the following achievement unlocked after defeating its next form appears similar, save for the addition of another set of chains.
